HC Deb 29 November 1966 vol 737 c52W
60. Mr. Iain Macleod

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what estimate he has made as to the extent to which liquidity considerations will restrain the London Clearing Banks from expanding advances up to the 105 per cent. limit in line with the recent announcement by the Bank of England.

Mr. Callaghan

I understand that liquidity considerations do not stand in the way of an expansion in advances up to the 105 per cent. limit.
