§ 72. Mr. Braineasked the Minister of Labour whether he will carry out a survey to discover the number of registered disabled persons, whether employed part-time or full-time, in respect of whom the Selective Employment Tax is payable.
§ Mrs. Shirley WilliamsNo; a reasonably close estimate is that the Selective Employment Tax is payable in respect of 600,000 registered disabled persons of whom about one-third are employed in the service and construction industries and therefore do not qualify for the refund of premium.
