HC Deb 21 November 1966 vol 736 c237W
Dr. John Dunwoody

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what action has been taken on the future of the Camborne School of Mines in the light of the Minister of State's recent visit to Cornwall for discussions with representatives of the school and the Cornwall Education Authority.

Mr. Goronwy Roberts

I have asked the governors of the school and the Cornwall Education Authority to consider proposals under which the school could continue at Camborne under a governing body of its own, in close association with the Cornwall Technical College, and with grant aid from the Authority. I understand that the Governors and the Authority are examining these proposals urgently.
