Mr. Dribergasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if, in order to assist him in deciding whether to set up a new inquiry into the conviction for murder of James Hanratty, he will investigate the circumstances in 153W which a witness at the trial, Mr. Terry Evans, was advised not to tell the whole truth.
§ Mr. Roy JenkinsI can find nothing in the transcript of the trial, or in any other information before me, to suggest that Mr. Evans was given any such advice.
