asked the Secretary of State for Wales what financial assistance has been given to the Mid-Wales Industrial Development Association by the Government since 1964; and whether he has any proposals to increase this aid.

The following are the grants made to the Mid-Wales Industrial Development Association by the Development Commission since 1964:

Towards administrative costs

1964—£1,500.

1965—£1,500.

1966—£2,000.

Towards a survey of the town of Rhayader 1966—£2,750 (A further sum of £2,250 will be made available in 1967 to meet the balance of the cost of the survey).

Applications from the Association for increased aid will be considered as and when they are submitted.
