HC Deb 15 November 1966 vol 736 c63W
Mr. Brian Harrison

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what further discussions have taken place between British and French representatives over the New Hebrides, following the meeting of 21st and 22nd March between officials of the two countries.

Mr. Frederick Lee

The French Minister of State for Overseas Departments and Territories, accompanied by senior officials of his Department, came to London on 11th July. We had a useful exchange of views on various internal administrative matters concerning the New Hebrides. Work is proceeding on a number of the matters we discussed, both at the metropolitan level and locally, with a view to further talks in due course.
