Mr. McNamaraasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government how many properties, for the acquisition or maintenance of which his Department has made grants under the Historic Buildings and Ancient Monuments Act, 1953, have been donated to the National Trust subject to the approval by his Department of the condition that the donor and his descendants should be entitled to rent-free accommodation.
§ Mr. MacCollNone. The National Trust which is an independent body is not required to consult my Department about the conditions on which it accepts properties.
