§ Mr. DarlingI know of this decision and sympathise with those affected by it. My right hon. Friend the Minister of Labour is arranging for all practicable steps to be taken to assist those made redundant to find alternative work. My Department will continue to do everything possible to assist the expansion of employment in the Glasgow area and, to this end, my right hon. Friend is prepared to use his powers under the Local Employment Acts to the full.
