§ Mr. WillisThe Legal Aid (Scotland) Act 1949 does not cover legal representation at fatal accident inquiries. The date for the inquiry, once the evidence has been collected, is a matter for the sheriff; I am sure there will be no unnecessary delay. The wide scope of such an inquiry is made clear by Sections 3 and 4 of the Fatal Accidents Inquiry (Scotland) Act 1895.
