§ Mr. SwinglerThe Boards have not cancelled any major items of expenditure as a result of these measures. They have however agreed to re-arrange their programmes over a wide range of projects so as to reduce by £10 million (British Railways), £2 million (London Transport) and £1 million (British Transport Docks) the capital investments they had hoped to make during 1967. The precise makeup of the programmes, and the timing of individual schemes within them, is a complex matter and it is not practicable to give the information the hon. Member asks for.
