§ Mr. GunterThe method of computation of the Index of Retail Prices does not involve the calculation of average prices. I am therefore unable to give changes in the prices of representative cuts of bacon and beef. The effect of the changes in the prices of these commodities between 21st June and 20th September was to reduce the all-items index by nearly 0.1.
