§ Mr. Barnettasked the Secretary of State for Defence what amount has been spent by the West German Government on military purchases under the offset agreement.
§ Mr. HealeyPayments for military purchases under the current offset agreement in the two years 1st April, 1964 to 31st March, 1966, amount to approximately £41.4 million (464 million deutschemarks). This is a provisional total which is likely to increase a little when final returns become available in June.
