§ Mr. Brian Parkynasked the Postmaster-General what steps are being taken to improve television reception of B.B.C. 1 in Bedford and other areas in Bedford constituency.
§ Mr. BennImprovements in the quality of television reception in particular localities are primarily the responsibility of the broadcasting authorities concerned. The B.B.C. tells me that it is aware that improvements are needed in Bedford and parts of the surrounding area. After some difficulty it has found a suitable site for a low-power relay station, which it hopes to complete towards the end of next winter, to improve reception in and around the town of Bedford.
