Mr. Buchanasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will announce the value of the school building investment programme for Scotland up to 1970.
§ Mr. RossEducation authorities will be authorised to start school building projects to a total value of £24 million a year in each of the three years 1967–68, 1968–69 and 1969–70, an increase of some 40 per cent. over the present level of £17 million a year. Provision is included for the accommodation essential for raising the school-leaving age in 1970–71.
