§ 65. Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the First Secretary of State and Secretary of State for Economic Affairs whether he is aware that fees of 15 guineas a day for professional members, 12 guineas a day for lay members, and 18 guineas a day 343W for chairmen of rent assessment committees have been fixed; and, as these payments for part-time employment conflict with his wages and incomes policy, if he will refer them to the National Board for Prices and Incomes.
§ Mr. AlbuThe reasons for this scale of fees were given by my right hon. Friend the Minister of Housing and Local Government on 1st March. My right hon. Friend does not therefore consider that they should be referred to the National Board for Prices and Incomes.
