Earl of Dalkeithasked the President of the Board of Trade whether he will publish a table showing the United 281W Kingdom's trade balance in 1965 with each of the principal countries from whom timber and processed timber, including pulp and paper, were imported; and what proportion of the total value of all imports from each of these countries is represented by these particular materials.

The difference between imports valued c.i.f. and exports plus re-exports valued f.o.b. is not a good measure of the balance of payments for trade, for reasons given in answer to a Question by the hon. Member for Torrington (Mr. Peter Mills) on 10th February.
