asked the President of the Board of Trade what are the functions of his Department in connection with the Athlone Fellowship Scheme; what were the progressive totals of Fellows who had completed their training and returned to Canada by the end of the financial year from 1959–60 to the latest available total; what was the gross amount paid by his Department in maintenance allowances to Fellows during periods of industrial training in each of the same years; what was the total financial contribution from British industry to his Department in respect of the Fellows in each of the same years; and what was the net cost to public funds of the whole scheme in each of the same years.
