§ Mr. Mathewasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will request education authorities that where a child is permitted to attend a school other than the nearest appropriate school he will be allowed to use any existing transport to the alternative school provided seats are available, and such permission is only granted on the understanding that it is revocable immediately the seats are required for the normal and regular pupils of the alternative school.
§ Mr. RedheadI would regard this as a matter for the discretion of the local education authority.
