§ 56. Mr. Godman Irvineasked the Minister of Overseas Development what funds are available in the British Virgin Islands to enable the opportunity to be 328W taken arising from private land reclamation at Road Town, to construct a new road and improve other facilities.
§ Mr. OramThe Government of the British Virgin Islands is at present investigating the cost of the reclamation and waterfront road scheme for Road Town and until this has been done it is not possible to consider possible methods of finance. In the meantime a Colonial Development and Welfare grant of $40,000 has been approved in principle for some reclamation and drainage work in connection with the project.
