§ Sir J. Gilmourasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if, in the interests of road safety, he will ask Fife County Council to paint white lines where required on the A914 road from Forgan roundabout at the south end of the Tay Road Bridge approach to the junction with the A91 at Melville crossroads.
§ Mr. RossAs A914 is a classified road, the provision of traffic signs is primarily a matter for Fife County Council as highway authority. I understand that the county council, which is at present in process of widening sections of this road, will consider white line markings as the improvements are completed.
