§ Sir Knox Cunninghamasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what progress has been made in drafting an Order in Council under the Administration of Justice Act, 1956, to enable the benefits arising from enlarged Admiralty jurisdiction of the courts to apply to people of Jersey, in view of the fact that these legal rights have been exercised by the people of England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland for the last 10 years.
§ Mr. Roy JenkinsI consider, as my predecessors have done, that it is for the Jersey authorities, if they so wish, to take the initative in this matter.
