Mr. John Hallasked the Minister of Transport what revenue has been earned from parking meters installed in the Greater London area since they were first installed; what balance was left over 80W after the payment of all expenses to provide and maintain off-street car parks; and what proportion of this balance has been used for this purpose.
§ Mr. SwinglerThe gross income from the date of installation until 31st March, 1965 was £3,185,561. After payment of all expenses £796,525 was available for off-street car parks. £392,713, about half of this balance, had been used for that purpose.
