§ Mr. MacDermotTotal receipts from taxes on incomes, taxes on capital, taxes on expenditure (including local rates) and National Insurance and Health contributions are estimated to have been 36.7 per cent. of net national income at factor cost in 1963 and 39.0 per cent. in 1965. These percentages are based on the Preliminary Estimates of National Income given in Cmnd. 2966.
