Mr. Alan Williams

asked the Prime Minister what changes have been made to the United Kingdom delegation to the Consultative Assembly of the Council of Europe.

The Prime Minister

Following the election of the hon. Member for Kettering (Sir G. de Freitas) to the Presidency of the Consultative Assembly of the Council of Europe, the right hon. Member for Leyton (Mr. Gordon Walker) has been appointed a delegate and will act as Leader. The Right Hon. the Earl of Listowel will be a substitute member in place of the Member for Birmingham, Yardley (Mr. Joan L. Evans).
