HC Deb 25 July 1966 vol 732 c186W
Mr. Albert Roberts

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether, following the adjournment of the current talks, and in view of the need to achieve European unity, he will make a fresh approach to the Government of Spain in order to bring about an amicable solution of the dispute concerning sovereignty over Gibraltar.

Mr. Padley

When the talks on Gibraltar were adjourned on 13th July it was agreed that they should be resumed shortly at the official level. There is no need therefore to make any fresh approach to the Government of Spain.
