§ Mr. ReynoldsThere are 124 established bands in the Regular Forces and 140 in the Territorial Army; their complement is 4,500 and 3,885, and their annual cost in 1965–66 about £6–5 million and £1 million respectively. Fifty-two regular bands are at present abroad, and 9 are due to go before December, 1966. My right hon. Friend recognises that bands are an integral part of service life and a valuable link with the public.
