asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science why he declined to give financial assistance to the Birmingham Young Volunteers Trust for their summer camp for Birmingham children.

This is a camp entirely for schoolchildren aged 3 to 14 and falls outside the scope of the Department's Youth Service grants.
