§ 95. Sir J. Hobsonasked the President of the Board of Trade what official advice Her Majesty's Government tendered to the Shipping Committee of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development on the question whether by international law or by the Charter of the United Nations, British shipping companies at the conferences of which they are members can be made to disclose their commercial affairs to any agency of the United Nations or to any other international body.
§ Mr. MasonNo such advice has been given, but it is the view of Her Majesty's Government that it would not be appropriate for the Committee to which the hon. and learned Member refers to pursue studies involving the disclosure of certain kinds of commercial information.
