§ 57. Mr. Palmerasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government if he will introduce legislation to give local authorities which wish to extend the boundaries of municipal ownership, particularly in respect of docks and port installations, power to do so.
§ Mr. CrossmanI am not aware of the need for such legislation nor would I consider it appropriate pending the report of the Royal Commission on Local Government.
