HC Deb 18 July 1966 vol 732 c10W
79. Mr. Moyle

asked the Minister of Land and Natural Resources whether he will take steps to give publicity to such provisions of the Landlord and Tenant Act, 1954, as are protective of the rights of tenants, pending the introduction of the Leasehold Reform Bill.

Mr. Wiley

No publicity is needed, because the protection applies automatically without the tenant's having to invoke it, and if the landlord wishes to terminate the tenancy he must serve a notice that itself sets out the tenant's rights.
