asked the Minister of Health what steps he has taken to establish specialised institutions in the London area to deal with cases of drug addiction, as recommended by the second report of the Interdepartmental Committee on Drug Addiction.

Hospital facilities for the treatment of drug dependence in the London area already include some specialised units. The extent to which these need to be supplemented is being discussed with hospital authorities in relation to other relevant recommendations in the report.
