§ 88. Mr. Brewisasked the Secretary of State for Commonwealth Relations what has been the cost of the airlift to Zambia up to the present date; and how the cost is to be apportioned between the countries taking part in it.
§ Mr. BottomleyThe cost of the British civil and R.A.F. airlifts to Zambia up to 9th February, the latest date for which figures are available, was approximately £1.28 million. The cost of Canadian and American airlifts is, of course, a matter entirely for those Governments, and I have no information on this subject.
