asked the Minister of Transport what was the public expenditure on roads in Yorkshire and Humberside in 1964–65; and what percentage this represents of the total for the United Kingdom.

In 1964–65, expenditure on new and improved roads in the Yorkshire and Humberside Region was £7.9 million. This represents 5 per cent. of the total for Great Britain for that year.
