§ Mr. Thorpeasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will seek to relieve export merchants from payment 23W of the Selective Employment Tax, the incidence of which cannot be passed on to their customers, in order especially to encourage exports.
§ Mr. CallaghanAs I have indicated in answer to previous Questions, I have the operation of this tax generally under review. I cannot anticipate the results of this review in particular fields.
