HC Deb 02 December 1966 vol 737 c155W
Mr. Ford

asked the President of the Board of Trade what reply he has received from the United States Government to his representations in support of the National Wool Textile Export Corporation in its opposition to the United States Federal Trade Commission's proposal for the compulsory testing of the fibre content of imported fabrics; and if he is considering further representations.

Mr. Jay

We understand that the United States authorities are taking into account our representations concerning the Federal Trade Commission's proposed amendment to the regulations under the Wool Products Labelling Act. If necessary, further representations will be considered when the Federal Trade Commission's revised proposals are known.
