Mr. Clegg

asked the Minister of Labour how many of the unemployed in Fleetwood and Thornton Cleveleys are clerks or normally employed in clerical, services.

asked the Minister of Labour what percentage of the men unemployed in Fleetwood and Thornton Cleveleys are over the age of 50 years.

Detailed age analyses of the unemployed register are made only in January and July each year. They relate to the wholly unemployed and exclude casual and temporarily stopped workers. At 11th July, 1966, men aged 50 and over formed 68.4 per cent. of all wholly unemployed men registered at the Fleetwood and Thornton Cleveleys Employment Exchanges.
