It is estimated however that in the year ended June, 1965 the number of agricultural holdings over one acre decreased by 4,360 (1.6 per cent.) in England and 664 (1.3 per cent.) in Wales. These figures include part-time and spare-time holdings, and some occupiers farm more than one holding.
