§ 28. Mr. Awdryasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what proportion of his proposed deferment measures in the public sector for 1967–68 will affect the Ministry of Transport and Department of Education and Science, respectively.
§ Mr. Diamond£36 million will be found from programmes with which the Ministry of Transport is concerned, including nationalised industries. No reductions are proposed in programmes with which the Department of Education and Science is concerned.
