§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he is aware of advertisements in the National Press advertising situations in both private and public service at salary scales which are at present under review or to be increased; and as this is contrary to the wage and salary standstill, if he will take 223W steps to see that these advertisements are in line with the Government's policy.
