HC Deb 04 August 1966 vol 733 c163W
Sir W. Bromley-Davenport

asked the President of the Board of Trade when he proposes formally to instruct the Monopolies Commission to consider the question of tied houses; and whether, in dealing with that matter, the Monopolies Commission will be empowered to consider restrictive and monopolistic practices with regard to the supply of all alcoholic liquor in public houses, including beer.

Mr. Jay

The supply of beer was formally referred to the Monopolies Commission for investigation and report on 27th July. The terms of the reference have been published and I am sending the hon. and gallant Member a copy.
