§ Mr. Onslowasked the Minister of Aviation if he will publish in the OFFICIAL REPORT the directives he has sent to the Chairman of British Overseas Airways Corporation and the Chairman of British European Airways, notifying them of the restrictions on investment which he expects them to impose as a result of the latest economic restrictions, and the replies which he has received.
§ Mr. MulleyThere was no need for any directive since I am required to approve the investment programmes of the Corporations. I asked the Chairmen of the two Corporations to co-operate in reducing their 1967–68 investment programmes. I am discussing with them how the reductions required can best be effected.
