§ Dr Millerasked the Postmaster-General whether he is aware that the air letter form does not conform to the preferred sizes for envelopes; and what steps he is taking to alter its dimensions to the standard size.

§ Mr. Edward ShortYes. I am arranging for the dimensions of the Air Letter form to be altered so as to conform to the new standardised sizes for envelopes. It will also have three sealing flaps so that when folded and sealed it will be closed on all four sides. With these changes the form will be fully suitable for treatment in our mechanised sorting offices. To allow time for the provision of new manufacturing machines the new forms will be introduced on the 1st July, 1968.
