HC Deb 03 August 1966 vol 733 c104W
60. Mr. Jopling

asked the Secretary of State for Defence whether he will take steps to alter arrangements at Warcop ranges in Westmorland, whereby 120-millimetre guns are fired at 1,000 yards from Warcop village.

Mr. Ennals

I appreciate the inconvenience caused by the noise, but it is not possible to make alternative arrangements. No safety hazard is involved as the guns are fired away from the village.
