§ Mrs. Shirley WilliamsIn the course of their duties, H.M. Factory Inspectorate both indicate and, where necessary, enforce measures for the protection of workpeople. This includes bringing to the attention of industry the need for occupational hygiene facilities where these are considered necessary.
§ Mrs. McKayasked the Minister of Labour when the results of the sample 14W survey on occupational hygiene, conducted in factories throughout the United Kingdom will be published.

§ Mrs. McKayasked the Minister of Labour in what industries in the private and public sector, and in what Government Departments occupational hygiene research is conducted; and in what manner their findings are correlated and their activities co-ordinated.
§ Mrs. Shirley WilliamsResearch into various aspects of occupational hygiene is conducted or commissioned by many industries. There is interdepartmental machinery for co-ordinating the work of Government Departments in this field. The Ministry keeps a register of current research and makes it available to bodies concerned with research.
