§ Mr. MasonUnited States statistics show that imports of whisky in bulk from the United Kingdom have risen from about 6 per cent. of the total, expressed in proof gallons, in 1960 to about 20 per cent. in 1964. I cannot give a figure for our consequential loss of dollar earnings, but it has certainly been substantial.
