§ Mr. George Y. Mackieasked the Secretary of State for Scotland when he will allow the North of Scotland Hydro-Electric Board a rate of capital expenditure which would enable it to complete the connection of electric supplies to remote areas in the Highlands.
§ Mr. RossI am glad to say that I am authorising the acceleration of this programme. The Board is spending £550,000 a year for the purpose. It will be authorised to reach a level of expenditure of £1 million a year in 1967–68 which would enable the programme to be completed about 1972.
