Appointments to Public Bodies

Mr. Dempsey

asked the Minister of Power if he will publish in the OFFICIAL REPORT the names and addresses of persons appointed by him to public bodies and the remuneration they receive.

I would refer my hon. Friend to the information published in:—

1. (a) the White Paper on Public Boards, Cmnd. 2544;
2. (b) Annual Reports of the Iron and Steel Board and statements relating to 47 Members' salaries laid before Parliament under Section 2(9) of the Iron and Steel Act, 1953;
3. (c) Annual Reports of the Industrial and Domestic Coal Consumers' Councils, and those of the Electricity and Gas Consultative Councils (annexed to the Annual Reports of the Area Electricity and Gas Boards). Service on these Councils is unpaid.
