§ Mr. Wingfield Digbyasked the Minister of Transport what oil terminals in Great Britain are capable of accommodating tankers of 165,000 tons deadweight; and what steps he is taking to encourage the provision of such terminals.
§ Mr. Tom FraserThe terminal at Loch Finnart and, with dredging, those at Milford Haven should be able to handle tankers of 165,000 tons, but a detailed technical examination would be needed for any specific scheme. The provision of such terminals is primarily a matter for the oil companies, who would no doubt plan them in relation to the siting of their refineries.
