§ Mr. Kershawasked the Secretary of State for Defence what is the value of arms for which this country has firm contracts or options to buy from the United States of America and which have not yet been delivered; and what are the comparable figures of arms which the United States of America will buy from the United Kingdom.
§ Mr. HealeyThe value of arms outstanding from the United States against firm contracts is about £60 million. The value of options to buy is larger, but the value of the contracts to be placed on the bases of these options will depend on the results of the Defence Review. The information requested in the second part of the Question is not available.
