§ The Prime MinisterThe Atomic Energy Authority has already published a history of the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Project between 1939 and 1945. Work is in hand on the preparation of a further volume but, until the material is studied by the historian, it is not possible to see what period it will cover or in what detail. The question of approving publication of this second volume, however, must wait until the text is available.
